John Maher

John is a Non-Executive Director of GO.FARM Australia and a member of the GO.FARM Investment Committee. He is Chairman of the North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo), one of Australia’s largest and oldest cattle enterprises, and also holds board positions with ASX-listed GrainCorp, the Zentera Wool Company Ltd ,Chairs the Autism Association of  Australia Ltd and is a Director of the Sydney University Faculty of Science Advisory Board. He is also a Senior Advisor to The Muir Group. An experienced agribusiness leader, John brings more than 30 years of board and executive leadership experience across listed and private companies, with a strong focus on agricultural and rural enterprises. His executive career has included serving as Managing Director and CEO of ASX-listed RuralCo Holdings Ltd, Senior Group Executive at Wesfarmers Ltd and AWB Ltd where he led the Landmark (now Nutrien Ag Solutions) rural services business and  Group CEO of the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation.

John holds an Honours degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Sydney and an MBA from the AGSM (University of New South Wales). He has completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD Business School in France, studied global agribusiness at Harvard Business School, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. John joined GO.FARM as an Independent Director in 2020.
